Houston offers an incredible amount of things to see and do while visiting. The towns cosmopolitan streak is obvious in its variety of natural wonders, cultural treasures, and family attractions.

With it being the United States fourth largest city there are acres of land to discover and experience their premier attractions. With so much to do it will be hard to decide where to start.

If you stay in town a few attractions that you should visit includes taking a ferry ride on the Bolivar Peninsula Ferry which take you from Galveston to the Bolivar Peninsula where you can visit the beaches, take pictures of the Bolivar Lighthouse, shop until you drop, and have dinner there. Locals as well as tourists enjoy visiting the Miller Outdoor Theatre, Moody Gardens, and Port of Houston.

Those with families enjoy visiting the Reliant Park which is a famed Astrodome, which was the first indoor stadium, and named as the 8th wonder of the world. It shares its space with Reliant Stadium which houses the Houston Texas NFL Team, Reliant Arena, and Center.

This area is often used to host rodeos and other fun events. Children love visiting the Space Center Houston where they can acquire knowledge about several space launches, watch astronauts train for real life missions, and much more. Also for families there are attractions for nature lovers, hands on play, and many exciting things to see while visiting Houston. The Houston Zoo houses hundreds of exotic animals, the botanical gardens and plant house allows those who enjoy nature to snap beautiful photos, and the Houston Discovery Museum will fill hours of fun for toddlers to adults who are still young at heart.

There are several other attractions in Houston that pulls in visitors every day including the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center, Houston Audubon Society, Armand Bayou Nature Center, and Sam Houston Race Park.
